14 months!

14 Months with Buster Bear

Look how TALL she's getting! She can now reach things in the top drawers in the bathroom cabinets, and can grab things off of the top of her dresser and even the kitchen counter! When we hung ornaments on the tree, we thought we had all the breakable ones out of her reach, but soon found out she could reach much higher than we thought (so we made some adjustments)!

Nadia is such a sweet girl! She loves to have tea parties and feed her dolls and stuffed animals. She will pat them on the back, lay them down, give them a kiss, say "Night night!" and cover them up with a blanket.

Today she was playing with multi-colored round counters. I created several rows - one of each color (red, blue, green, orange, yellow). I picked up a new counter and asked her which pile it went into. She then put six counters in the correct row by color!

She loves playing in pillows - on the couch, on a bed, on the floor - pillows! She is talking up a storm with lots and lots of new words. Her latest words are button, "cock doodle" for a rooster sound, heart, circle, star, chair, tongue, "querl" for squirrel, bubble, and apple. She uses lots and lots of signs with her latest being signs for octopus, airplane, frog, horse and diaper.

Crazy hair right after she woke up one morning! It is getting sooo long and has curl at the bottom.

Putting on Daddy's shoes. She loves shoes - especially taking them off and trying to put them on by herself.

Last week she learned how to spin around and around in a circle. She has somehow associated this with Christmas music (or maybe music in general) but when she hears the music and starts her usual dancing, now she also includes spinning. She spins until she gets so dizzy that she falls over, then pops right back up to do it again and again laughing the whole time!

The Christmas season has been especially fun as she loves to look at the tree, study ornaments and try to take them off and put them back on by herself, play with her "ee onh" (her sound for a donkey) and "baby" from the Little People Nativity, dance to Christmas music, help stack up presents and talk to everyone we see as we shop in the crazy busyiness of the season. We are looking forward to baking cookies and going to a Live Nativity this weekend.
