Visit to The Rock Ranch

Last Saturday we met Erin, Mitch, Bob, Cathy, Shelby and Garrett at The Rock Ranch in The Rock, Georgia. It's Truett Cathy's ranch and home of Family Fun days in the fall. We had a wonderful time on a freezing cold day! Nadia was so bundled up that she would fall over and couldn't bend to get herself back upright. Luckily it warmed up a little as the day went on, but even with the cold, it was a great day!

Nadia was mesmerized by a pot-belled pig in the petting zoo part of the ranch. She wanted to get close and see it even though it smelled horrible.

There are live cows on the ranch as well as this statue she wanted to pet.

In the corn maze. We bundled her up and she was a trooper along for the ride.

We made it to the end of the maze and never had to raise our "surrender" flag along the way!

Shelby, Cathy, Nadia, Bob and Garrett. It was Pumpkin Destruction Day, so people were bringing their pumpkins to "destroy". They could drop them from a tall lift, shoot them from a canon, smash them with a sledge hammer or let a monster truck run over them. There were pumpkins everywhere, so Nadia was able to use her latest favorite word in context many times throughout the day (pump!).

There was an amazing "Tiny Town" that was all just the right size for Nadia! They had about 15 buildings all made in minature form. She loved going in each place and taking it all in.

Such an independant girl. It's really hard to believe she's not even 13 months old. This girl can do anything anyone much bigger than she is can do!

I love when she holds a hand to walk - it's not a very common occurance. She'd usually prefer to do it on her own, but in those moments when she's willing, it's a sweet sight.

We are so thankful for a wonderful day and the relationship we have with Nadia's birthfamily. What a blessing to our lives!
